gentrification is happening in the major cities, but a good majority of Atlanta suburbs are overwhelmingly majority black, which means black businesses, schools, politicians, etc.

No matter how hard we try we will never belong to the white community, its basic human psychology. So instead of trying to fit in and getting depressed cuz of rejection/isolation we need to build our own safe communities for both rich and poor.

Most of my friends and associates are either black or Mexican. It's chill, when I go out it's usually to the black spots, it's an HBCU in Austin. I do wish it were more black people, but it ain't a bad place to live. I like Austin.

Visit and and experience it, and then give your opinion. It’s no coincidence that Houston and Dallas are seen as the most popular cities in Texas for Black people. Austin has about 150,000 Blacks. San Antonio doesn’t have much more than that. Houston has about 1.3 million and Dallas is not far from that as well. Which cities do people think would be better? Austin is pretty much the Texas version of Portland, Oregon or Columbus, Ohio.
