It's all about the money and gimmicks.

You will be Left behind in the future if you aren't working to be on top of your trade.

and if your trade is arts, yikes I feel for you

the arts is the least prone to automation.

i feel for those in the hard sciences and math for what MIT and DARPA has coming their way.
Were talking about earning a living and the arts can only flourish when people have disposable income. not to mention the arts are not sustaining families for the artists like math and science is for the employee.

What does MIT and DARPA have coming since u wanna be a mysterious as niggga Makin me ask questions n shyt.

By this logic whether or not you have an employer you are still a wage slave.

If I am my employer then I answer to one less person, my life is dependent on 1 less person. The arts or STEM is irrelevant because best believe worker robots will soon come in mass but STEM is the easier of the 2 to replace.

I think this is just a reaction to the fact that black people in general have a harder time finding jobs with non-STEM degrees. Whereas a white person will have a much higher chance of getting put on because of a family connection or something.

Because of this, some people tend to emphasize STEM degrees. It's not irrational from that perspective, but at some point you do have to accept that not everybody is cut out to be a STEM major.
