The Thing, BY FAR.

Unless you take it out by fire (and that's if you even burn it whole and another part of it isn't anywhere else), once it gets out into a populated area or goes into the ocean, it's a total wrap for the entire planet, human or alien.

I never considered it getting into water...

Xenomorphs get pimp slapped once we can get motion tracking on them and surveillance, and even with the depleted ammo and soldiers, they get absolutely shredded with some armed resistance.

They are great ambushing civilians, construction workers, kids, and prisoners armed with scissors, but they catch hot slugs from machine guns and die like bugs when the army comes thru....

The Thing landing planet-side would certainly be the end of our civilization....

Weyland Yutani sent in an idiot officer which got nearly the whole squad killed by having then disarm themselves during the first mission, so they got got....

When they engaged them properly, the Marines killed tons of them like bugs, if they had more ammo, they would have lasted the whole 17 days...
