Cocky, but they seem to be good at their job prior to running across the xenos. And the way Hudson was crying at the end you can tell this was the first hardship he'd dealt with outside of being done with everything.

Nah man, they handled that terribly from the way they approached it, all the way through when got rescued by ripley.
Apone my dawg but he should have been controlling things from the apc while the LT was dismounted with the rest. He would have been able to stay calm enough to better control things.
The way they positioned themselves and weapons vs the kind of space they were attempting to manage was frustrating to watch now that I’m grown lol.

Didn't they put the dude who hadn't run any missions in charge for that one? Their major crime like all of the aliens franchise was not listening to Ripley to begin with. Going in on an ambush when you don't believe there's one when you were told what they were capable of is on the higher ups. The soldiers thought it was a bug hunt and by the way they were talking they've done a bunch of those by that point. I doubt very few soldiers would have a good outcome going at xenos in close quarters for the first time...

Yes they should have listened to ripley. yes they put the LT in charge, the guy in the APC. The platoon sergeant, Apone, was dismounted with everyone else.
Lol it’s just me nitpicking, and it’s mostly the fault of stunt/action coordinators who didn’t know how to make the actors look and move like professional soldiers.
It didn’t matter what their objective was. Unless the mission was wasting oxygen, they should have never been bunched in there as a group. At most there should have been 2-3 guys forward with everybody else supporting at distance. They could have had the Xeno’s funneled at the entrance and avoided losing most of platoon at once.
At the end of the day I know it’s just a movie and supposed to be entertaining. I don’t think they knew any better or cared.

My pick is The Thing. I've said this before but if the Things lands in a populated area it's pretty much game over
But Calvin is the one thing that can come close IMO. Calvin just seemed unstoppable, it survived in space and just kept growing. Like wtf can u do

Calvin was so overpowered that it didn’t make sense. It basically had to absorb all forms of energy in order to survive, which means anything you use to try to kill it, it would just turn into energy for itself. Xeno’s would overtake the planet by sheer numbers. Predators lost their planet to them and we’re not as good hunters as they are.

Calvin was something that evolved/lived under such harsh conditions that put into a comfortable environment its instinct was to just keep eating and absorbing matter for its next hibernation period.
The Xenomorph is probably the scariest one. Designed as a chemical weapon that has the nastiest birth cycle possible. It will be interesting to see how they handle this in Alien Earth because Aliens getting to Earth seems like game over man. I suppose it could be a one season only show where everybody just dies lol. Or they need to give Aliens some major defect like a peanut allergy or fentanyl addiction.
