I remember loosie cigarettes and 5 cent caramels and even those 2 for 5 cent mints in the Dominican bodegas.

But I don't remember chopped cheese growing up.

I first heard of it in the late 2010s, it's just a Philly cheesesteak with the cheese chopped up w/ the meat rather than the cheese sitting on top of the meat. I wonder who was the O.G corner store who came up with Chopped Cheese as well.

Some cheap fukkking ahki no doubt. I don't understand how this became a MEME and a false "staple"

It got big for whatever reason around 2016-2018ish. Before that I think it was just some Bronx shyt or Harlem :manny:.
