One Of The Last Real Ones To Do It
I love the enthusiasm but tech jobs are not nearly as available as they use to be. Also it’s easy to say “follow your passion” but that doesn’t always lead to money. My college room mate is a comedian in NYC. If you think I can tell jokes he is 10X better. He also host his own comedy nights. To survive he has to use his labor and has a day gig as a superintendent of three buildings. If his family owned a home from back in the day when black people couldnt get good homes he would be rich, and even then have to share that with his 7 siblings.See my previous point on there are no hugs coming. No one is going to tell you where to get money because only the individual knows what his or her passions are.
If someone is told go get IT certifications and they think well I'm not a nerd, the jewels are going to go in one ear and out the other. This is america. No one tells you what to do. You have to know what you want and then research the path to advance in that field which is readily available on the internet. There's no hugs and no ones holding your hand to get you started.
But, once you know what you want it's easy to find like-minded people you can build and improve your expertise with
Anywhere companies import labor to fill positions are places black people can thrive.
Tech for example
Cyber security.
Help desk
Pc repair
Cloud infrastructure administration.
The money is there but no one call tell you what you need to do if you can't articulate what you want besides money
The majority of our lives don’t fit that mold and any talk of entrepreneurship being some cure all has been debunked.
