What have black people accomplished by not voting?

They are not to be taken seriously. The same people who say republicans will take over the planet if the Republican candidate (ie trump) wins, then turn around and say “the president doesn’t control anything” when having to explain why the democratic candidate who actually wins, doesn’t accomplish anything.

if this is true, wouldn't white conservatives want us to vote...? at the very least they wouldn't fear us voting as we'd getting nothing in return... but if it indeed made our lives worse, white conservatives would be trying to drive our turnout instead of trying to prevent it...

The problem with this argument is incorrectly conflating Republicans wanting to win (why wouldn't they?), and Black people voting accomplishing ANYTHING. If my political enemy had a group that voted 90% their way, no matter how undeserved, I would be happy if they didn't vote. That's logic. Multiple things can be true.

The GOP knowingly and actively ignores black voters because they can win in spite of us voting. They don't fear us voting, what they fear is moderate whites and middle america ( specifically white women) not being satisfied with keeping things the way they are/going back in time.....if they can collect some contrarian/delusional black votes it's a bonus.

They are literally a party where white people will actively vote against their best interests to spite whatever progress could be made by people who don't look like them.
