I don't dispute any of that, but truth be told, the sentiment here in Nigeria and the series of events thay occured immediately after passage of the bill show us another side of the coin.

Another point I made earlier, if you believe that no external forces are trying to destabilize Nigeria, why did Hillary Clinton fight tooth and nail not to have Boko Haram listed as a terrorist org? And in turn Obama refused to sell us weapons to compound issues. All that just because he was corrupt?

Traditionally, France has tried to destabilize Nigeria but as I explained the EU want a stable Nigeria for a few reason:
- Prevent more migrants going to EU territories
- Prevent Northern Nigeria from devolving into Afghanistan Part II
- To have a client state in West Africa
- To access oil and gas in the Niger Delta

Moreover, Nigeria's elites are less likely to care about Nigerian sovereignty and greater black liberation compared to Murtala Mohammed and his ilk.

As for Clinton, she didn't want to sell arms to the Nigerian gov't because of human rights concerns. Obama too. Which is largely correct. One example,
