Seeing these comments by other Nigerians its a no wonder why Igbos hate Nigeria and dislike the other ethnic groups and wanna split.

Well. Tbh this thread is a basically lifted straight off nairaland. The anonymity of posters allows them to make broad generalizations and insult eachother.

Never met a yoruba that has said we want igbo out.

What people like Nemesis have to understand is that.

An Igbo man like Zik is different than an Igbo man like Kanu. Likewise a yoruba born n raised in PH, Warri, Benin city, will have a different outlook than one from Osun or what ever yoruba place.

I'm not too well versed in the strife in Nigeria other than the basics;
but if southern naija were to break off from Nigeria, the north would plummet into dire poverty like Niger or Mauritania.

Not only is the south more industrious, but the North still has what seem to be fundamentalist Muslims that don't care to progress and they would have to pay import and shipping costs to the south since they are landlocked :picard:

The only countries in my opinion that came closet to ending tribalism and focusing on nationalism would be-

  1. Botswana
  2. South Africa(tho common enemy with whites)
  3. Namibia
  4. Tanzania
  5. Senegal
  6. Ghana(I think)
im not sure about the other countries but Ghana benefited by having one ethnic group that makes up half of the country.

The Republic of Biafra
An aunt of mine lost 6 of her 8 children in that first war

A man who has seen the tragedy war will never call for it

My father and his family was chased from Zaria during the '66 pogroms which killed thousands of Igbos. They had to endure days with no water as they fled across Central Nigeria. When they arrived in Biafra, they had no land, no food and were constantly bombed by Egyptian MiGs.

Despite all of that tragedy, he still wants Biafra.

:ehh: Yeah tbh southern problem or even nigeria is really simple, it's almost disgusting how much people ignore simple problems until it becomes a big issue.

in a descent country anyone one threatening violence against another group. Because of ethnicity or religion would be locked up for terrorist threats.

locking up Nnamdi Kanu and not locking up the Anglo abdullah guy is hypocrisy.

My great grandfather died in a war. 6'6 and died for his people to have freedom. Proud man. Great Grandmother was 99 when she died. I love her. I seen her too. She was tall and so strong. I love em. Somewhat frail but was sick when I seen her.

The Republic of Biafra
IPOB leader, Kanu visits Anambra, vows to resist Islamisation - Vanguard News

Nnamdi Kanu
“The Islamisation plot is real but they won’t succeed in my life time. No, never; not when I am alive. “he struggle for Biafra which I proudly lead is not a secessionist aspiration of NdiIgbo only as some erroneously think. Biafra is not just a living agitation but a fight for the survival of Christians in Nigeria against the entrenched threats of radical Islamic fundamentalists and their political collaborators within and outside Nigeria”

:francis:My issues with yorubas are that they act as if thequi it notice to igbos only extends to igbo. It doesn't it extends to any southerner or Christian.

You think hausa can tell the difference between igbo and efik or ijaw or bini.

Even back in 1960's the ijaws yorubas binis other southerner thought to be igbo were not spared.

Fulani are not discriminating between southerners. Common sense

:francis: Some of them don't understand how Nigeria works. One of them was talking of Eko Atlantic. Who do you think will own that? Dangote, Emirs and Sultans of course. They speak of farms? Is it not the Fulanis of Northern Yorubaland who will own these farms too?

Biko, pray for the Yorubas.
