how do TDE pay the bills???

they ain't putting nothing out
Some how, heard top used to be front row at every laker game LOL.

I never blame labels for everything, but TDE has a lot of business issues that are killing the careers of their roster.

They sit on whole projects forever, and basically refuse to release them. DJ Dahi said he's done a lot of production for projects on the label that he says will probably never see the light of day. Kendrick doesn't need any push because his name alone sells itself. SZA has built a nice following, but even she had to fight to get her music out. The other artists always seem to be in limbo. Recording and recording, but not able to get a budget to actually release much. That's a money and business issue that Top is going to have to figure out. You can't ask for loyalty and not take care of your people. Definitely looks like this isn't going to end well.
It sucks cause you even got Sir who's super talented too(sidebar:y'all should check out his foot steps in the dark cover). I would hate for them to be stunting his growth as well.

Overall it seems like they release regularly though right? They had a big year a couple years ago and seem to be doing their thing. None are popping though, outside of the main guy (Cole).

I thought DAMN, Control (SZA’s album), and the Black Panther album would set TDE up for another run. Instead they kinda did nothing. Jay Rock did his thing in 2018 but since then it’s been crickets.
They got Ari Lennox and JID

Speaking of Q breh is a big Niners fan dude said he cares more about the 49ers pick in the draft and picking Fields than his own career. :russ::deadmanny:

I remember seeing an interview years ago where he said he hates the industry and only wants to make a mill or 2 and get out.

I don't really follow his music or what he's put out but seeing this thread that's the 1st thing I thought of.

Maybe he's just punching the clock at this point.

Who’s who?

JID- Kendrick (which makes sense cause Cole regrets not signing Kendrick when he had the chance at least that’s what he said so why not sign the clone)

Earth gang- outkast
Cozz, Omen(after he signed to dreamville)- J Cole
Bas- J Cole and Wale
Lute- Phonte

which is crazy cause like another poster said a while ago Cole came out as a watered down mainstream version of Blu

Although at this point I couldn't care less about anyone from that camp, he really was the only one I liked from TDE. I tried to like Jay Rock's music but never got into it, could never get past Kendrick's voice and as for Ab-Soul, I honestly never even felt like checking for him. That "Man of the Year" was my shyt when it came out.

He’s right. Flabby heads don’t support that type of rap. They say they love it but you don’t see the love in sales. He’s lucky he had that song with Kanye on that album or those sales would’ve been  status
Is that really on them for not buying or is it them being the only ones who will buy it?
