Q the best outta tde... followed by Jay Rock
Based on what? People have been saying this but really there's no evidenceThe former, I’m sure Q would agree too
Is it me or did the brother really lose a step ever since he made that Crash Talk album? I don't know if it's TDE not allowing him to release music or Mac Miller's passing but he doesn't even have as big of a presence on social media as he once did.
Then I heard him on this Freddie Gibbs feature and it was okay but not up to his usual standard
Anyone know what's been up? I know we all also wonder about Kendrick, Isaiah and Soul's new music releases but Q been out of it for a minute.
Nah he doesn't owe us but as fans we can wanna know what happens when we see an artist not on social media as much when they used to love that or their music declining a bit.Y'all talk like artists owe y'all anything, which is very consumerist
BlankFace is better imo . But we both agree either way that Q has the best album on TDE.people move on.
Q never got popping with his team, he got popping w/ Rocky.
Rocky's star faded music wise but he has actual superstar qualities so he'll always have things to do and can generate interest.
the people that went to the Rocky, Q, Danny Brown tour all grew up
Q had a good run and Q doesn't seem motivated by music now.
at this point in his career its feels like his next album will be great or a dud..no real in between.
will all depend on how he feels when making it.
he still has the best TDE rap album in Habits N Contradictions though.
also, as much as i like the album, BlankFace is overrated to me.

Bc she’s to r&b as Kendrick is to rapTDE as a whole in shambles. How is SZA the most poppin act now
Breh better than Section 80 and Tpab? I even liked control system better than Habits and Contradicitons but I do admit it was a great project.people move on.

That's a 180 for him. You have to understand he used to be big on social media and used to be a real funny dude. To the point where people would upload compilations of him from his social media. He wasn't always so private. Plus he may be content not being the greatest at this point but his last album was a blatant atempt to try to be mainstream.he not focused on music bro.. street nikka that made it .. he got all he asked for already.. he not tryna be the greatest just tryna eat where he can and survive.. he raising his daughter and being low.. he don't want the fame.. the accolades.. he living a private life

Though on the other hand you raise some good points however he got popping around the country with Ab Soul too. It would be Danny, Soul, Q, and ASAP touring and building a lot. Q even talked about doing a project together as a group with them. ASAP did toss him and alley by putting him on his first tape though if that's what you mean and I'm sure that was a big look for him at the time.
