What happened to Gen z and the younger Gen in music? The majority of the top music acts in every genre are in their 30s or they are pushing 30

It seems like A lot of these kids who could've been superstars would rather go the streamer/youtuber route these days. It's an easier path to fame without the necessity of any talent.

For instance, someone like kai cennat would’ve been a poppin rapper in a previous era(hell, even a few years ago if he were to choose that route).

Also, I genuinely beleive that gen z as a whole lacks the creative prowess of previous generations including millennials. But it's not their fault, it's just the environment they were brought up in.

If you spent your formative years around technology yoyonot rereally put in a position to exercise your imagination and crcreativity.

Plus federal funding for art programs were severely cut in favor of STEM initiatives.

Actually, I believe this began under Reagan in the 80s, but by the 2010s it was pretty much dead.

Not sure if this thread is trolling but this happens every generation

There are absolutely stand out musical acts in the younger generations... yall just not hearing about them because we're not their target audience :skip:

Pac was 25 when he died. Biggie was 26 when he died. Snoop was young as hell when he was on 'The Chronic' and then when 'Doggystyle' came out.
Cole and Future both almost near mid life crisis age
