There's still good offensive lineman, but I don't see any Hall Of Fame level guys right now.

I'm talking guys who've come into the league over the last 6-7 years.

I remember watching guys like Orlando Pace & Tony Boselli.

Their dominance/technical skill just jumped out the screen at you.

They just don't have it in full alignment like that anymore

I want the league to get back to having lots of very good to great featured backs like the early 00s

Priest Holmes
LaDainian Tomlinson
Ricky Williams
Curtis Martin
Jamal Lewis
Marshall Faulk
Clinton Portis
Edgerrin James
Travis Henry
Ahman Green
Stephen Davis
Deuce McAllister

:wow:

Those were before the days of "quarterback driven league" where a team could be elite off the strength of their running back, and more running backs were the faces of their franchises.
You forgot Fred Taylor bruh.

They were just talking bout that on Florio's radio show. Along with the QB crisis... and with the devaluation of the running back, it's like damn the fukk yall gonna do NFL?!

:heh:

Someone said that some coaches would rather flip a defensive lineman than take a chance on OLs coming from college.
That's what Seattles done. Obviously with no success. But fant and some other guy weren't even college football lineman and ended up starters there. But if you're starting from scratch like Seattle basically is, maybe you'd rather take an athlete and teach him the technique while he has developed no bad habits/poor technique at the position over a guy who has to learn all over again with bad habits/poor technique from college o line play. Their line is such trash that what I'm going to say I'm not even sure will come out right and make sense, but I think Seattles been ahead of the "bad lineman" downward curve by a few years. They've known for a while that line play was in a decline due to college schemes and teachings changing, and it didn't make sense to toss a lot of resources at it if you already had a great roster elsewhere because of that. They just haven't hit on a single fukking person evaluation wise trying to plug in guys on the cheap or teaching them a new position. They had the right idea I think. Their o line scouting just has been miserable for whatever reason. Can scout the shyt out of pretty much any other position, but o line they just can't even make a dart throw

Fat nikkas are getting a little better shape and are doing more shyt. Jake Long was the last one to come out and get that monster contract and like was said previously, the line had been devalued in a sense so you got obvious specimens like Big Baby Miller and Deontay Wilder say fukk getting CTE and hopped up into boxing. NFL really ain't what's hot in these streets no more for these new nikkas.

:gucci:

nikkas really tryin to say football's more dangerous than boxing now?

I've read some real whoppers on this site before, but this shyt right here :mjlol:

Is there a stat for which lineman gives up most sacks?
pff keeps track of those, but a lot of times theyre subjective because you dont know assignments and can only guess (which is true for a lot of pffs grades/assessments, because we never know actual plays being called)
