What evidence is there that Jesus actually existed?

I just heard on the radio this morning that they discovered a new piece of doctrine from 3-4th century having Jesus refer to his "wife"...basically, he may have been married (or people atleast at that time thought he couldve been married)

All these celebate Catholic priests who can't touch a woman so revert to touching altar boys are :noah:

I remember seeing a History Channel special a few years ago but they never aired it after the 1st couple of times because the findings were too controversial. They used carbon dating on the bones and the scientists confirmed they were about 2000 years old, but they also said that Jesus was older than 32. They used speculative computer technology and he wasn't even close to white. They also guessed that he may have lived in secret got married/had kids etc. It was :mindblown:

I'm just going by what they said breh, this special was like almost a decade ago, they didn't talk about his religious impact, and the conclusion was while he may have been real most of the stories and conventions about him were untrue. Now maybe it's been debunked since then, or it was too controversial a position with not enough hard evidence or whatever. But honestly who really cares in the grand scheme of things. If you believe in Jesus as the Son of God or as a Prophet, nothing will convince you he doesn't exist and if you don't believe in Jesus, nothing will convince you he does.

On point :obama:

I believe he was real, but did not have any spiritual or magical powers. Probably just a nice dude with a lot of common sense and charisma.

Paul's Epistles (letters). He knew Jesus' family. Someone who doesn't exist doesn't have family members.

Authorship of the Pauline epistles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Josephus on Jesus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pauline epistles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Big surprise, both of them have serious questions about their Authenticity. There is this book called Harry Potter in which the author mentions about this guy named "Harry Potter" who could do magic and perform miracles. I think he probably existed in the past since this author obviously knew him.
