Conversating at the gym :hhh:

Hate them cats that stay at a station forever because they just chatting it up and goofing off with friends or whatever

Hurry up with the shyt :upsetfavre:

As what it means to me: It's a place I go to balance my self out

I run 3, 4 miles a day too

Yet still eat like :snoop:

and drink every weekend :obama::cheers:

Helps keep the head clear, it helps live my life better. The whole discipline aspect of it, as soon as I get done in the gym my whole day is just positive vibes and I can handle anything life throws at me on that day.

It keeps me away from alcohol, which I didn't really abuse, but it's just not good. Don't see much point in drinking really, but it's when I'm actively working out that I really don't want to drink.

I worry a lot less about my health. I was the opposite of fat when I didn't work out, but now I'm thicker and planning on getting even bigger.

I smoked for 4 years too, so this past year and change without smoking. Yo, I'm proud of myself for real every time I think about how my life changed! :russ:

@1-8-7-Skillz congrats on quitting the smokes and hitting the gym consistently breh. Dap + Rep. :salute:

Last but not Least: Maybe it's wrong or whatever, but working out makes me feel like a legit black man every time I do it. It's like I'm 10 nikkas in one every time I'm done with a work out.

Y'all know what I mean?

it's a necessity. some months i'm really into it and what i'm doing, other times i know i'm there simply with the goal of combatting :flabbynsick: either way, i'm always better off for going.

i do want to stop yo-yoing with my weight and get to my goal so i can focus on lifting for strength, i think that's the next thing that would really keep me engaged, being able to really track gains in strength.

I’ve been active all my life. I used to ride bikes with my family since a small age. Lifting has been apart of my life since I was 15. My parents got me a bench and weights. Played ball in high school. Didnt really hit the gym until 23. It’s a sanctuary for me and a place where I can be totally selfish. Staying active is very important to me.

I have my gym at home plus i live about a 2 minute walk from this huge soccer park so i get my cardio there. I love working out on my own. I stay more focused and dont feel rush. Since im a huge TUT(time under tension) fan, i can take my time on my lifts and not have to worry about the next nikka. Ill never go back tot hat flabby life :scust:

Im 36 and been the best shape of my life. I really dont like the attention though due to my body. I got it alot being a "pretty boy" but now with muscles, the shyt is unbearable at times. Working out is a way of life for me just like eating, sleeping and shytting :manny:

All in all, my gym is my home (and vice versa) :blessed:

Weight-lifting: Achieving goals, improving my body, and making friends at the gym over the years helped boosted my confidence. It helps that this is a lame town and there isn’t much to do.

Muay Thai: I had actually been depressed for some unknown reason and actually wanted to die. Didn’t see a future for myself. Then I realized I’d always been a martial arts fan and decided to pick up a striking art that could help keep fat off.

It means everything to me, had a rough couple months to end the year last year that I’m still trying to recover from. The gym is therapeutic for me, I think about nothing else except the gym when I’m in there and I make sure my body is on E by the time I’m done.

^This. I pretty much only percieve time in two types: my current gym sesh and the interval of time until my next one.

The gym is also one of the of the few places I'm on some :smugdraper: instead of some :hamster:.
