i dont think pressure can prevent life because as long as the pressure inside the organism is the same as the pressure outside, itll be fine

the air above us when we go outside weighs literally a ton. It exerts a massive amount of pressure but because our pressure is the same inside our body, there is no pressure difference and its not absolute pressure that crushes but the difference between pressure. or pressure gradient

so there could definitely be animals even at the deepest trench.

there are a bunch of fish living 24,000 ft deep and lower they tried eating the bait which means they have senses and hunt
