I'll also say the whole idea to start the movie with Bruce retired as Batman for eight years was so fukking lazy. Like what was the point of him becoming the Dark Knight in the previous movie, when after this motherfukker drove off epicly on his motorcycle into the night, he just went home and sat on a couch for eight years weeping over the ugliest broad in town? That's the least fukking Batman that Batman has ever been in the history of Batman. This motherfukker quit being Batman longer than he actually was Batman.
That and, as Ralph points out, he moped for 8 years over a woman basically. This is a man who saw his parents gunned down in front of him and decided he would be something more, but this woman gets taken down, a woman he didn't even have a relationship with, and he decides he doesn't want to live anymore and that he can't go on?:tellditruth:
Its funny, the most elitest pricks hate the movie now but when it dropped it destroyed even avengers in a head to head poll.

I hated it from day one. it was dumb because part of his legend is being the worlds greatest detective but he could not figure out Talia was the mole? I saw that shyt from day one.
Well to be fair, Nolan's interpretation of him never really leaned on that greatest detective thing. He was basically his version of James Bond, complete with a Q and an M

Oh man, I know this thread is about TDKR but that bullet analysis scene from TDK might be Top three most unintentional comedy in a comic book movie ever. The way he reconstructs those fingerprints would feel far-fetched in a goddamn Star Trek movie, it's so nonsensical.
Yeah it worked until he did stuff to make his character look dumb and stupid. The same guy who had rachel followed, did his research on the DA, did his research on Gordon, and was so paranoid that he'd have his butler followed and created a surveillance system to capture the joker, now all of a sudden can't dig enough to find out Ra's had a daughter and she just had his penis in her mouth?:maybe:
