Punch said it was one of the many mistakes Drake made during the battle. Not only it was completely off, as Kendrick never pretended to be an activist...but it was also poorly written and executed.
Drake got a LOT of hate for that line, and imo, the hate wasn't enough. But then again he had support from his fans who are, usually, considered as the most uneducated fanbase in music :manny:
Does kendrick sometimes not sound like an sheepish meek almost slave-like on SOME tracks? Its a DISS SONG. :gucci:

Jesus Christ :laff:

Did we forget this? :dahell:

50 Cent said Ja Rule sings for hoes and sounds like the COOKIE MONSTER

Can tell Kendrick's music flew over your head, because you absolutely didn't describe Kendrick :dead:
No wonder you're a drake fan with such a low IQ...
Yall can’t keep casting every critique of kendrick as a misunderstanding. It’s not gonna work.

People understand it and can still have a problem with it. Kendrick doesn’t inherently represent a default arrangement of an argument or presentation of a community.

Planty of people have a problem with Kendrick…from Lupe to Jay Electronica...

He meant that Kendrick uses fake deep generic antiestablishment pro-black pandering as a marketing gimmick…as an aesthetic …when in reality he’s the biggest corporate over-pushed pop rapper since Eminem (yup, he clears rap Antichrist Drake in that regard)…black history month aisle at Target, Nancy Pelosi kneeling in kente cloth raps…

the last time he actually was tasked with trying to actually speak real talk on racial matters, he blamed black people for cops killing unarmed black kids in some mainstream cac magazine while we were out in the streets fighting pigs in Ferguson ….there was backlash…the labels put the muzzle on him and he ain’t had a real life lucid interview about anything of worth since
You just acting like an activist it's make believe don't even go back to your hood and plant no money trees :heh:

The funny thing is that Kendrick has never been an activist rapper or taken many direct political stances. His music has largely been personal. Which is why Drake's comment was clearly a glimpse of his own white mentality. When you hear conscious raps and dismiss them as slave raps it tells me that you're a cac who cannot approach race without self destructing, mentally. The same way a lot of white people have decided that any mention or acknowledgement of race is racism. It's a panic response, deep rooted in confusion and anger. The exact type of reaction a mixed kid might have if he grew up around white Jews and tried to fit in by denigrating black people - something he's literally on camera doing when he was younger, before he started rapping.
Considering the average age of Drake fans, you shouldn't expect them to understand this lol.

Billboard revealed in average a drake fan was 14.7 yo :dead: And you can tell his fans on thecoli aren't older than that either. They just lack knowledge thats crazy

You know it’s bad when Drake Stans can’t even figure out that simple line that Kendrick rapped on NLU. It’s not rocket science :mjlol: :dead: He cheddar bob’d himself on Family Matters.

:francis: Drake really hates conscious rap and African Americans…
his whole sound is birthed from Little Brother, rapped on Dilla beats on his first mixtape. his uncle / father are from Memphis with musical credits on Sly and the Family stone as well as Prince

but y’all let a UMG sponsored, NFL endorsed revolutionary psyop y’all into Willie lynch syndrome.

I’ve been listening to drake since 2007. You weren’t.

So I’ll take my perspective on this over yours.

Yall dont know the guy’s music like that.
I've been litening to him since 2007 too...because you know, it's my job.

He was never a conscious rapper and we not gonna let coli white teenagers with a clear lack of musical knowledge try to tell us otherwise.
