Exactly. Here are some examples of how wrestlers are suppose to act during interviews:
Keep it in character for crying out loud. Don't come off as a "regular" guy and try to speak in shoot language of winning a belt for a fake sport

? The funny thing about the interviews was the fact that Arsenio Hall kept it as kayfabe as the wrestlers. Imagine Rosenberg trying to do the same thing

They just come out and talk like regular normal guy/girls
That the problem a lot nowadays is it seen almost everyone is a normal relatable person because of social media which is fine.
But when we watch tv or movies we watch for creative/outgoing/engaging characters and storylines that twist and turn and we the viewer can get invested in. Nowadays it's just match match match promo I'm going to beat you at said ppv that it.
The promos have hardly any real emotion or it's forced emotion. Maybe your get a Goldberg moment or a Bruan moment or Alexa dissing Mickie with the Mae young line on the mic. Something that funny or makes you remember why you love wrestling buts it few a far between.
Arsenio and Regis gave wrestlers a lot of shine and played into kayfabe they also helped hype up an issue/fued you where having with someone.
The crowd new it was fake but they didn't care because the characters where just so off the wall entertaining that you could suspension your disbelief.

Tell the wrestlers to stay in character 24/7, if they want Twitter/Facebook/Instagram they need to be in character 100% of the time. No more pictures of Bray Wyatt doing the teenage girl bending over pose

First of all by exploiting a character's strengths instead of weaknesses. This has been their problem for years.
Week by Week Nakamura is looking like a regular guy on the roster because they focusing on his weakest attribute(mic skills) and its been cringing everyweek. He's losing mystique
Baron Corbon sneaking and bum rushing cats and ass whippings is great. Its what cats in the 80s and 90s use to do and it looks realistic. He can actually get reactions. BUT heres another problem... Instead of focusing on his strengths of being a bare knuckle guy and having this guy shoot fades in street corners or bars.. They have him doing REGULAR ass wrestling matches and they never anything special unless he's carried by AJ, Sami or anybody that can really work in the ring.
