Vanilla characters that mean to be "family friendly" and have zero relatable characters for young adults to get behind.

Unpredictability and good, entertaining fukkery. Jinder and Strowman have provided that recently but we need a lot more from everyone else.

Outrageous publicity stunts. :pachaha:

When Braun is healthy have him and Roman storm the court of a Warriors or Cavs game and fight each other. Just have the bail money ready for that one. Have Enzo do a skit or intro on the next Weeknd album and maybe a cameo in a video. Got to pay for that too. Have Alexa Bliss swinging a kendo stick with Nia Jax as her muscle trying to barge themselves into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Just force yourself into situations that is covered by the mainstream. :heh:

I think superstars should get invited more often on talk shows and mainstream radio interviews in kayfabe. I think they need to use occasionally popular musicians songs in a paper-view event, for instance, Kendrick or etc. They need to stop collabing with flo-ridah and pit bull. Enzo should have segments outside the wwe arena in a similar fashion like Ted-DiBiase.

Exactly. Here are some examples of how wrestlers are suppose to act during interviews:

Keep it in character for crying out loud:comeon:. Don't come off as a "regular" guy and try to speak in shoot language of winning a belt for a fake sport:beli:. Sometimes, I wonder why we watch this shyt sometimes, but then Wrestle Kingdom, Wrestlemania, G1, and all of those special events occur and all is forgiven because marks:blessed:.

Unless they start setting trends with pop culture like they did with the 80s and 90s
Nothing is going to happen
WWE is bigger than it was back then but its also struggling with a relavency issue where they can only mine nostalgia from their past stars and not their current roster

:mjlol:Imagine Randy Savage showing up on Arsenio Hall with his hair in a top knot wearing a flannel shirt and jeans. It ain't rocket science why the wrestlers of that era felt larger than life.

it can't do anything. It's topped out as far as that goes.

ESPN exposure, facebook, twitter etc.

It's gone as far as possible

That time has passed friends.

This

Every so often a wrestler is on Hot97

They're featured on ESPN, multiple social media platforms, they try fukkery with mascots at NBA games, they had Ronda Rousey at her peak popularity at Mania, they had an NFL player at this mania.

Wrestling wont be mainstream any more, there wont be a boom period, wrestling as a whole will continue to coast and will gain and lose fans as time goes on.

It's funny how the whole "business runs in cycles" sounds sillier each passing year. It started to cool off post Hogan in what, 1991, 92? Was real bad for 93 onward.... then by 98, it was already on the rise again.

2001 starts the second decline, and now here we are 16 years later with no signs of another boom. 16 years! Won't be long until the attitude era is 2 decades old.

That's a huge problem. There was a point when the WWE didn't have to pander and whore themselves out to the mainstream in desperate fashion. The mainstream media was coming to THEM. The WWE made it cool to be affiliated with them, and it just hasn't been that was for a long time now, though it's gotten marginally better. And that's crazy, cause the WWE has direct ties to ESPN, and all this social media, yet they practically have to beg mainstream stars to deal with them. They think just because a celeb/athlete wears a WWE shirt, that that's their chance to pounce on them, when that's not the case. The WWE is simply very unappealing to the media in it's current state unless Wrestlemania is involved, which is probably in it's 9th year of living off nostalgia.

So simple....yet so brilliantly effective. Imagine the press they would get if they had guys having a worked shoot fight at game 1 of the finals :mjlol:
