Specifically WWE...... What can they do to make the general public care again?

They're on the border of being mainstream relevant again.

I think Enzo is helping a lot by interacting with rappers all the time. Also all the Jordan brand promos and everything he does with Champs is a good look for WWE.

What else can they do and capitalize on to make them "cool" again?

Wrestling can't be mainstream again until WWE has even some form of competition. Even though TNA hasn't come close, I remember their attempt at the Monday Night Wars drove Vince to bring back Bret a month earlier just to go against TNA.

Right now this WWE UK vs ITV situation has them picking up the best UK wrestlers possible.

As long as no one throws a rock at the throne, Vince will coast and just worry about getting mainstream attention during WrestleMania season.

Edit: To be honest, we'll be lucky to see them even hit Ruthless Aggression popularity again.

More fukkery.:yeshrug:

Jinder stealing Orton's belt and driving off in a limo with it or Braun destroying Roman for fifteen minutes straight in hilariously exaggerated fashion is far more entertaining than watching a Sheamus vs Matt Hardy match after having watched a Cesaro vs Jeff Hardy match the week before knowing that you'll watch a Sheamus & Cesaro vs Matt & Jeff Hardy match in another week. Austin didn't become a pop culture icon by wrestling a pointless match every week, and neither did The Rock.

Having writers that are actually in tune with today's society instead of ones stuck in the past. Just as an example, there's no reason why guys should be getting 70s/disco gimmicks like 40 years after that era died. May as well have a guy in MC Hammer pants today.
