 Villan
Kafka is one of the worst FF villains. At no point in the game did knock off joker feel menacing, threating or even remotely villainous. He came across as comic relief which Urtos did a better job of. With Seymore for example you felt uneasy. He was menacing from the time you first encountered him. From his dialog to his design to his motivation you knew he was evil as shyt. Not to mention the scene where he whispers to Yuna and she gasps and everyone looks at her. And he walks off just smiling. Or when you find out that his aeon is actually his moms and he just laughs and said it was necessary. That's a villain.

:wtf: Kefka straight up…

• Poisoned and killed entire kingdoms, including children
• Massacred all the espers after they had been convinced to call a truce
• murked General Leo
• Betrayed and killed the emperor for his own selfish reasons
• Used the statues to bring about the apocalypse
• destroyed the player’s airship, scattering ALL of the player characters to the ends of the earth
• Razed whole continents, wiping out multiple major cities
• obliterated any city/kingdom with lightning for even THINKING to challenge his throne
• had a whole cult dedicated to worshipping him as the god of magic

Kefka was one of the most hardbody (and effective) villains in the franchise.

Everything you put in the spoilers is facts. I wouldnt call him hardbody but effective yea. In my opinion throughout the entire game he comes across as comical and clumsy. Like the cutscene where he going to meet Edgar and he's whinnying jumping around the screen complaining. Or the scene where your chasing him around the camp and he's calling you a toad while pushing enemies to fight you. At no point in the game do you ever feel like yo this dude is going to be a problem or yo this character is a threat. He comes across like a gag character who stumbles into power. If we're just ranking the villains because they succeeded then ya I'd say he'd have to be toward the top. But in terms of what a villain should be he's trash. For the record also he's nothing like Thanos. You knew Thanos was a problem and that dude the first time you seen him. No one who's played 6 felt that way about Kefka.

i always find it funny how people criticize 10 or 13 for being linear as if every single final fantasy game outside of 12, 11, 14 aren’t.

Just because you have a world map doesn’t really mean you have more options. FF has always been linear, exit town > go to cave > go to castle> go to forbidden forest >go to town, theres always one path to progress the game, sometimes even less, sometimes you gotta talk to an NPC to progress a quest.

Then you eventually get an airship in the last 3rd where you can do some optional dungeons. But its not as if the towns you visited already typically have additional content, they are just item/armor shops.

10 and 13 are really no different than 4, 6, 7

Thats why i think XVI is gonna revitalize the series. No more girly looking j-pop inspired singers and grunting

Been waiting for an FF to go back to FF12/4/6 with older characters and more serious themes again. Everything Nomura touches I dislike tbh, everyone complains that this isn’t “true final fantasy” but he’s the one who really changed the feel and style of Final Fantasy from what it originally was
Nomura loves androgynous characters, every man looking like a damn lesbian n shyt

Nomura hero character - asymertical clothing, belt buckles, zippers, blue eyes, spikey hair, tiny jackets

Nomura villain character- long hair, silver, purple, red, tall and slender, doesn’t matter, have to be showing their belly buttons, etc
