Westside Connection - Terrorist Threats. I also felt like any of Nate Dogg ' s solo albums lacked even though I grew to like his 1st album.

MCHG - album came and went, after a week or two outside 4-5 songs and I wasn't even checking for those by the end of the year.

I play maybe 4 tacks off that album. Compared to how much I played (and continue to play) all of Critical Beatdown, I was severely disappointed.

Ultra is my all-time favorite group and I just couldn't get into this sub-par album.

At least I still have it in my collection. I threw The Four Horsemen away.

I dont think there are many albums in hip hop history that have greater replay value than 2001. A couple of songs from that album are STILL in rotation at clubs. You are in the EXTREME minority when it comes to your opinion on that album.

I couldn't disagree more in regards the replay value of that album, It simply has little to no appeal to me at all. What I don't disagree with is the general perception of the album's value. I don't think I can recall anyone ever being disappointed with it...and I mean ever, whether online or in person. But from where I stand, after loving the first Chronic album (via 1992), the first Snoop Album (1993) and the Dog Pound album (1995)...all of which I remember when they dropped, by comparison, and the anticipation of it all, I thought that the Chronic 2001 simply sucked. The only... and I mean only thing I give that album credit for is the sound quality and mix.

Not really. They weren't 'unique' anymore. Sounded just like everybody else. Only tracks I still listen to are 'Yo Black' and 'Delta Force II'

Keep in mind, it came out in '93 and there were MAD classic albums that came out that year. That album just didn't stand out at all.

The Firm album is the one album it seems all of hip hop did an eternal sunshine of the spotless mind trick to. The Firm as a group gets some love as hip hop lore because it was a "supergroup" but the album has been incepted out of our minds:leostare:

That's a pretty good way to put it.

Personally, I liked the album, but it was just one of those things of where you can have the best ingredients to make something, and it still doesn't come out better. The quality of the artists were there, but the chemistry and the formula just weren't 100% on cue.

Now, had the group had of been Nas, AZ, Cormega, Nature with Tragedy Khadafi as the architect ad guru behind guiding the group in 1997...it would have been :lupe:

Life is Good. I tried so many times to get into that shyt but never successfully.
And Cole World... the man mopes in his melodrama too much for my taste.
Recovery/MMLP2

Don't know how people can even say Lasers was a disappointment..after the first two singles I was thinking :heh: and knew it would be trash.

And sadly, the one that sticks out is Welcome to Our House by Slaughterhouse. Probably the most underachieving album of that year.
