:skip: Maybe because black women outnumber black males 2:1 at college?
Yeah,I know that.:martin:
I was trying to make a point.
In other words it's always "what can bw do for bm?" Never "what can bm do to help bw?"

Give attention to the black men who are in the libraries instead of the black men on the field on Saturdays.

Simple really :manny:

Literally this. The only time you'll ever see a brother get wide recognition in a college setting (and media in general) is if he's making them white cats money chasing balls. Modern-day black-dominated sports is so close to how a plantation worked its almost comedy:lupe:

Do what you're good at. Not everyone is meant for college.

I happened to have a knack for picking up foreign languages, cultures and understanding the complexities of global economies and politics. So I majored in International Business and Poly Sci.

I am now leveraging that knowledge to determine where I can relocate. Not everyone can do this, just like I can't fix your car for you.

Leverage your strengths, fukk what a Black Woman thinks - Or any Woman for that matter...:jawalrus:

Out here in my damn drawls
Education as a means for getting the proverbial "good job" and money, or education as an intellectual pursuit?

Degrees and education aren't mutually exclusive. Look at these world leaders. Look at congress. The smartest dumb people on the planet.

Anybody can study notes and take tests. I'm much more of a thinker now than I ever was in college. :yeshrug:

And there wasn't anything close to a shortage of other brothas at college who graduated either.Yeah, they might have gotten cupcake degrees (like many of the females), but they made it like everyone else :francis:

Intellectualism, common sense and group economics are really the only things that will help us as blacks.

How the Fukk can you call yourself a man if p*ssy is your only motivation to better yourself?

Imagine thinking that "I'd get my education if bytches liked that shyt" and being ok with that.

Men should wanna better themselves because that's what men do. Strive to be the best they can.
This is how it should be but you already know this isn't how it is with most dudes.

I don't think black women need to do it, black men are the ones that need to do it. There are educated black men who have benefited greatly from higher education. We just don't hear a lot of those stories.

Really, virtually every other race has a strong male establishment tradition that they usually teach to their men that ensures that regardless of how many women try to tap the hoe phase/rush into colleges with those bummy majors/become legit professionals, the men ultimately control the paper/sexual narrative past a certain age.
Of course its no surprise why we fall behind in that regard bcs of the current state of our family. The effects of a nonexistent patriarchy and the 'fukk-all, no daddies mean ima hoe for life'- mentality hits us hard.

Little boys thinking they have to pick up a ball to get girls, no pops, nobody in his family caring about education, the media making black men out to be either modern-day mandingoes (sports) or pretty much anything else that isn't related to intellectual success. All these things factor in that skewed-ass college ratio. Still, brehs (like me) are outchea chasing this knowledge and when time alotts, them skirts:troll: while still trying to make some kind of dent in the stereotypes we get slammed into us daily. Its an uphill battle though:mjcry: But we gon be alright:blessed:

Plot twist, I don't have a cell phone. It won't make a difference if I leave at 4,5,6, etc. My work is never finished. :mjcry:
What's your major? You really shouldn't be at the library for that long (unless you're writing a paper or studying for finals/midterms).
