Mantis Toboggan M.D.
Drink wolf cola
There’s never gonna be another great terminator film. Same goes for Jurassic park. It’s just not possible to replicate what made JP or T1 & T2 great.
superhero movies wont stop anytime soon. They will just keep remaking, rebooting, keep making sequels, prequels until we are all dead
The blatant biting, the fact that most of its jokes come from racial stereotyping is mostly what does it for me tho. Damn near all of the jokes are “hey isn’t this Asian man funny because he talks funny?!” Or “isn’t this black man wild because he acts wild and is funny?” Whereas Beverly Hills cop didn’t really lean into those stereotypes at all, rush hour goes into them full tilt. And as a comedy it just doesn’t work for me anymore. The action is still fine but overall it just hasn’t aged well in my book
Part 2 I can get with because it feels like there’s less of that. Part 2 just relies on their friendship for the jokes and how they’re both way in over their heads and are just trying to stay alive. I still fukk with part 2
The black renaissance of 90s tv will probably never be replicated again
There will not be an A Team sequel. Or RockNRolla sequel
Ridley Scott is done as a director. His brother was always better anyway
Rush hour hasn’t aged well and it’s a sign of Brett Ratner being a meh director and a worse human being.
A movie adaptation of Kraven’s last hunt or another version of the night Gwen Stacy died are probably not happening.
Also, and probably the most important, the shyt is a business first and foremost. People may bytch and moan about remakes and reboots and looking to well know IPs but that’s the studio system right now that we helped create. Original ideas don’t get a lot of traction in movies anymore because so much of the moviegoing public decides not to see those flicks in theaters. So now studios are more afraid to take risks and want safe bets. The risks will now be on tv or on Netflix or Hulu or amazon. Our dollars have told them what we want
They need to kill Batman off for atleast another 15 years in live action movies
Fam, Dark Knight CAN NOT BE TOPPED
Cut the crap
Literally the perfect buddy cop comedy series, Rush Hour 2 is a universally loved classic and I haven't met someone in person who doesn't love it.
Affleck is not a good Batman, not sure why people think he is. And Joker right now is a more interesting character.I think if any Batman could've did it, it was Affleck, now that he's apparently out as Batman, I don't know.
If anything Joker needs to be put on the shelf for awhile.

+1No lethal weapon is the perfect buddy cop series. And rush hour ain’t universally loved homie. Especially once we get to part 3. But hey I’m sure you know the whole universe and I don’t so I’ll let you call it

I never actually saw Lone Ranger. Was it good, and what was the context of Depp’s character?I love that movie so much, and it captured the tone of the tv show and updated the humor and action to be good enough to keep me engaged.
It deserved a sequel.
While on the topic, Hot Take:
The lone ranger (2013) was a cool movie that got sandbagged by criticism from people who never saw or intended to see the movie.
It was actually probably one of the best depictions of how dirty indians were getting done, and featured dozens of actual indians, but became the first "we're going to be mad a white person is playing a Non white fictional character regardless of the contect" victims.
