Watching up through episode 17 of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest.

This arc has been more of a fanservice in terms of seeing Fairy Tail members fight against the 5 leads. Like Erza vs Laxus, Natsu vs Gajeel and even Wendy getting a big moment thanks to Irene's help.

Though, the twist being the White Mage's plan to destroy the orbs backfired. Essentially, breaking the orbs not only woke up Aldoron, but affective made the White Mage Powerless. As Aldoron has powers that mainly affect the mind, this makes sense. The more interesting is what Selene planning, as she is the one who set up the White Mage to wake up Aldoron. Compared to Aldoron that simply wants to gain power and Ignia who aims to fight the strongest. She seems to have something more evil in mind.

Honestly, I haven't really checked the anime out, but the manga is a very comfy and wholesome series. Good if you like chill SoL comedy.

I’d argue they already easily surpassed the manga. Unless it turns into a slideshow.

I've to be honest, I am unsure how to feel about this as a manga reader. I know it was never gonna live up to the manga, but man they're really not showing any action in these previews . @Jmare007 this is one that it is better to read the manga first. It prob will end up looking like Hells Paradise S1.

I remember being a kid and wanting to watch this.

This was back in the day when it was a struggle to get anime in English. They used to have a whole campaign trying to get Sailor Moon finished in English. People way buying pop tarts and shyt trying to support it.

Today we got Crunchyroll. Anime came a long way. BTW I never bothered actually watching it when it became readily available. Not into Sailor Moon anymore and my taste changed.

Good point because the amount of Exposition and how slow the pacing was atrocious

Tbh I just care about the fights but man I can't wait for anime only reaction to Hakari.
