Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

The reason it rarely if ever will work is b/c of the very nature of anime shows and there being so many characters needing to be introduced to the storyline to make it work. I wont say its impossible to do but the degree of difficulty is staggering. Unless you're MCU and are dedicated to 10+ years of telling your story these one off anime movies are always gonna fail.

I just can't think of many, if any, animes that were handled well at all. Most are just attempts to cash in on an existing fanbase.

Even video games get treated better because studios know ahead of time that they want sequels.

I hope they move the story a little faster now. We have a strong feeling that the masked man is Gaelio. Looks like McGillis is gonna try and get some answers next episode.

We usually only have 2 choices. A US adaptation that is severely whitewashed, for let the Japanese do it and it looks like medium-level comic-con cosplay.

or... just change the hair, like how marvel changes costumes. but i feel you

Why do they always do this? None of their live action movies ever translate and end up looking goofy.
