You do realize that you're watching a show based on a Galge and complaining about it being what it's supposed to be. There's the Fate route (original series) where Saber gets romanced. The Unlimited Blade Works route (this series) where Rin gets romanced and the Heaven's Feel route (the movies coming up later) where Sakura is the main girl. That's what the Fate/Stay Night series always was. Fate/Zero isn't a Galge it was a light novel.

Yeah, you'd be better off with Fate/Zero. It's incredibly overrated as well but at least it's actually about the Grail battle (and its inner workings) and delivers on that premise from the start.

Fate/Zero is misleading because it sets people up to expect Fate/Stay Night to be more of the same. Fate/Stay Night is basically based off an interactive porn game and Fate/Zero is a light novel of the backstory of Fate/Stay Night.

It's like the Twilight book series has some fights in it but it's still really a romance novel.

the amount of shade you throw the goat is preposterous

fate/stay night is in comparison I must admit. Still a good watch but comparing it to zero set me up for dissapointment
