I'm almost semi-retired at watching dark titles and just satisfied in vanilla type animes.
I got into the show Saki. i love that style show Bakuman, Skip Beat and Chihayafuru are all also like that. they're basically the same format.I hear ya. I thought I learned my lesson on Akira, but I still ended up coppin' Guyver and Berserk.......
all those shows i actually got into them and the only one with a finished manga and anime is Bakuman. Skip Beat did one season and nothing else. Chihayafuru is on its second season but who knows? Saki got a second season announced.
its a pain getting into a show that's tethered to a light novel or manga because you'll likely never see the complete story animated.

ok i just finished watching shigurui and uhh yea i still dont c wat all the talk was about....nuthin but atmosphere noises (that were calmly puttin me to sleep by the way) and one cut kills that just make me sick 
...like damn where were the sword fights, every damn dude in the clan was cuttin one time and killin dudes, then when the blind dude came after them he was killin them the same damn way 
.....the dopest part was the fist fight against the ronin just cuz of the way he did them dudes in....i did think it was hilarious how much damage they were doing to dudes with the

was up with the sensei? dude was full blown retard until he didnt wanna b full blown retard 
and whoever made this anime must really dislike woman cuz every chick in this bish got dun dirty

the last episode of Gargantia was solid.
I'm keeping up with both and despite Gargantia being an episode ahead I'm liking the premise of Valvrave more.

Arata Kangatari - kinda has the vibe on Inuyasha's world from it.
Oreimo - sure this show is weird but its funny as shyt
Yahari - i only watched the first episode of this but it seems promising. i'm interested to see how this becomes a romantic comedy because the two leads hate each other's guts and they're both a$$holes.
Shingeki - truthfully i haven't watched a single episode of this yet but i plan to catch up soon.
Date A Live - this show is a turd but that's the actual reason its so entertaining. its so bad its good.
Hentai Ouji - any show with Yukarin in it is an instant watch

the end of the third episode of the second season was straight heat. the speech Emiya gave Saber about war being hell and heroes seducing people into believing its greater than it is is amazing. dude straight eithered her talking about there's no point in speaking to a killer who takes pride in honor and glory.Fate/Zero has to be the goat anime.. Badass fights, animation, characters. Epic ass story. Holy fukk. It's atleast 1b next to One Piece.
