Chapters 25-27 were adapted here. Great direction as always. Really selling the point, the words that Okarun's words made Momo beyond happy. Also, the moment when Aira felt guilty about Momo receiving all the blame. Taking the time for these moments pays massive dividends.

Furthermore, I loved how they were able to adapt the panel where Aira and Momo were fighting over food and Turbo Granny and Seiko kicked Okarun and Shrimp respectively. How they adapted the UFO Cow scene was perfection.

Also, when Momo doing the impersonation on her way to greet Jiji was hysterical. Also, the shot of Okarun's glasses sees his perspective on seeing Jiji and Momo. As opposed to the manga, we see that from the side instead.

Honestly, Okarun theorizing this Yokai vs Alien war is pretty interesting. We know at the very least that we haven't seen them work together. It would be an actual cool idea to think of the Yokai as defending the world from aliens.

The comedy was on point as usual. Got sweet moments between Momo and Okarun. Also, big props to Aira for coming clean. Her character has been a roller coaster, but it was a good moment for her. Shrimpy needing Milk to feed his son is an interesting way to look at the situation. The animation on the UFO scene was insane.

We got Jiji introduced, who is Momo's first crush and childhood friend.

The best way I can describe this show is fun. It is nothing that hasn't been done before, but it knows how to execute it well.

Ultimately, Fist has been the real villain and him using Yakumo's body was a means so he can go about and do business. Now the merge with Ordela makes things worse, and once the power stabilizes things aren't looking too good. Though I am happy, Alma rejected him. But man, seeing Hikaru getting gutted hurt.

No surprise, Kagami Group and everyone from Arms are working together now. I have to admit, the sisters coming together to take down Amaryllis once and for all felt great. The fight did feel rushed a bit. Though, the final boss is gonna takes these last two episodes, so it's understandable. Hopefully, Hikaru can pull through.

Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance - Episode 10

Honestly, a really sweet episode to see Kenshin using the Sakabato for the first time. It's clear that the lives he has taken before have haunted him. Enough that what ended up being his first Sakabato he was afraid to wield it. Though, defending the family that took him in made him realized what he can do going forward. He can use it to protect lives. Similar to how Giichi mentions, his jitte is used to protect people first.

I love the transition in the present with the Arai family, and then it transitioned to what hopefully is the lives of the Giichi and Satsuki with their kid. Now Kenshin's journey continues with his new Sakabato.

I mean, both it and Crunchyroll are both shyt. Crunchy has a better catalog, but the service breaks down way too often, and they even forget to put subs on their shows. As the Sony monopoly increases, the worse their service has been. Honestly, Crunchyroll was at their best when they were a pirate site :dead: It's only gonna get worse once Sony buys Kadokawa.

HiDive UI is pretty shyt and not surprising they don't have much for exclusives. Desktop works fine, tho.

At the end of the day it is more optimal to pirate anime as you get a better experience tbh.
Crunchyroll is acceptable to me. It has made advancements in the last few years since switching to the HTML5 player.

HIDIVE has reached a point I'm considering going month to month and subbing only when they have a must watch show. The supposedly updated everything and it got noticeably worse.

Honestly, 365 Days to the Wedding is right with Dandadan as my favorite romance of the season. (Obviously, romance is only a part of what makes Dandadan great. As the supernatural elements, storytelling + writing and direction of the adaptation are all beyond amazing.)

365 Days to the Wedding approaches the topic of marriage in how it focuses on the two coleads in their fake marriage and other various characters in the series. The writing has been great, and I am excited how it wraps up the final 2 episodes.

Watched episode 9 I need from early on that Sophia was Sitri.

But man, the levels of a sociopath that Sitri is even compared to Liz is insane. :heh: She literally organized a prison break so she could perform experiments on those criminals.

Oi! Tonbo S2 continues to be one of the standouts of the season. Despite it being a Golf anime which isn't the most appealing, it has a nice story, with great character writing and the cast of characters being great. A big thing that helps is that the monologues really help the series, since golf is a tactics thinking sport. Which makes more interesting than watching actual golf because you don't have that.

I really love how we get the monologues of Ema, Tsubura and Hinoki of what they are thinking. I feel like golf doesn't appeal to many people because golf is a tactics thinking sport. Getting inside the minds of the player makes it much more engaging IMO. Of course, I assume people who watch golf try to guess what the players will do.

Igaiga mentioning that golf is a game of "wants" and "don't wants" illustrates perfectly the difference between Ema and Tsubura. Ema wants an eagle, while Tsubura doesn't want to get below a birdie. Though, Ema being in pain is scary, and I hope this doesn't give her long-term setbacks.

As this moves towards Tonbo for the first time, it seems she feels the pressure. But for her, she more so embraces it rather than is afraid. Much like Ema she is shooting to win.

After last week with Shunsui's bankai episode, if you told me, this episode would be even better, I wouldn't have believed you. fukking fantastic episode :whew:

The left arm doing two things in this episode that required Kurotsuchi to adjust. The first was it embracing being a Quincy. Which I assume has to do with Yhwach. The other being the nerves it consumes allows it to adapt. Unfortunately, when it consumed Nemu, it did so without the brain. I think this can be equivalent to an infinite recursive loop overflow. Essentially, checkmate.

Nemu always struck me as odd, but man this episode was giant for her. It makes you look at her different. Basically, an artificial soul reaper. Seeing how the previous iterations of her and how they developed so far. Here she had the biggest breakthrough, continuing to evolve while protecting Kurotsuchi. While he won't admit it, Kurotsuchi cared for Nemu. Despite Nemu 7 being gone, the brain is still intact. At least we can safely assume there will be a Nemu 8.

God, this episode was insane. The tension was just :damn: :damn: :damn:

Honestly, the torture sequence at the beginning of the episode was brutal, but so well done. I feel like Nowak was on the money that she 100% was hiding something. Though the problem still remains what they used to torture her. The woman was just about innocent, and she was tortured for trying to protect her friend. Those kids are not ready for that line of work, but since we were spoiled by his voice actor that Nowak was Jolenta's father, what happens if Jolenta is declared the heretic.

The calm before the storm where we here what Badeni, Oczy and Jolenta's plans going forward. The most heartwarming thing was hearing Oczy planning to make a try at university. Considering how far and how much he has grown, it's so astonishing to see. Unfortunately, the tip that Nowak received gave us that bad feeling.

Screenshot_2024-12-07_at_4.27.35_PM.png

As mentioned in some posts above, this was the episode where Badeni slipped. Mostly him drinking caused it tipped him. Obviously, Oczy was losing him mind sitting across from Nowak to think how to alert Badeni. Though as expected, Jolenta has no clue what her father's work really is.

Screenshot_2024-12-07_at_4.35.26_PM.png

Talk about feeling the tension and much like Oczy you think you survived. But really they didn't and Nowak came back once he made sure his daughter made his way home. Wondering if he made sure his daughter wasn't involved in the matter. I am curious how he proceeds going forward. We know how much he loves his daughter. Also, for Badeni we know he has no regrets about using whatever is available at his disposal to save his ass. There is no way he won't bring up Jolenta to Nowak if he really starts to interrogate them. Though, I am curious if Nowak would plan to keep that information secret. Really fascinating where this show goes from this point.
