I totally agree. Frieren and Dandadan are the two best examples of an anime managing to not just give a great manga its proper adaptation, but to elevate the source material. That's ESPECIALLY impressive to me with the Acrobatic Silky backstory, because I know they had to be ambiguous about certain things (the rooftop leap), just to get it on-air.For the past year, it's been a great run. Tho you know old heads would complain new anime is shyt . Still too much anime def gets made but the quality at the top has really been having a great run.
But within the last year in no order
In terms of top-notch adaptations would put Frieren, Monogatari & Dandadan at the top. If you told me back when CSM aired that when Dandadan would surpass CSM in anime popularity, I would never have believed you. Hell I didn't think they could do the Dandadan manga justice, but the cinematography is so good, which is why I put it at the same level as Frieren & Monogatari.
