You are confusing animation with art quality. For blue lock its art quality is very sharp and great. It still is basically a slideshow which is what people’s issues with it are.

Chapter 1 in the manga & episode 1 in the anime fukkery is kind of insane. You still get fukkery, but it is tame in comparison to episode 1. As you continue to watch things will make sense. Tho the comedy level is always consistent. The story tbh is ehhhh when you examine it as a whole, (lets be real, most shounen stories aren't much to talk about) but the individual arcs themselves are at worst good.

Dandadan is more about the journey than the destination. How it mixes genres and how it executes the thrill of it what makes it so good. Plus, it does a good job with storytelling when you least expect it.

I mean I never denied of watching ecchi. I am watching 3 of them this season. (Ranma, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction & Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister)
Though there has to be something there beyond ecchi. Like these have.
