Mobile Suit Design - 9/10

Aerial has weight to it while having an aggressive build. Reminds me of the G-Self with Barbatos inspiration. GUND-BIT probably my favorite tech introduced, the possibilities going even above what they put in the show. Aerial carries the design, but the Zowort and Jeturk line of mobile suits are very good. Best overall mobile suit design still goes to Unicorn probably (God Newtype Bullshyt aside).

Story - 7/10

Pissed me off. One of the strongest Season 1s for a Gundam show that actually built up the stakes/consequences/tone. Season 2 drops it off a cliff and the show doesn't really recover the high in any shape or form. Pacing went out the window, and the story zooms past both character development and important events. Doesn't give it time to breathe. Season 2 would have benefited from more episodes to build up (20/26 like IBO).

Characters - 7.5/10

Suletta steals the show, with Guel behind her. Miorine annoyed the fukk out of me. Prospera is okay as the main antagonist. Nothing extraordinary or outright bad, just kind of there. Her being alive at the end didn't make much sense to me.

Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master Episode 11

I get why Yukiya is pissed because you hope that you are chosen based on your merits and accomplishments rather than your bloodline. But you really get the sense that now that Wakamiya seen Yukiya enough, he trusts him based on the results he has put forth so far. But it will take time for that to be more apparent to Yukiya.

So Atsufusa's loyalty to Natsuka was simply a means for him to get more power by having him marry his sister. Really highlights a point that there is much politics involved it is hard to take anyone for being genuine until trust is formed. Rokon's point is very valid in that he has happy he is useful to Natsuka. The best decision was for Yukiya to continue serving Wakamiya and think about all of this again when his term is done.

An unexpected time skip, but it leads to Wakamiya announcing he will select an empress. It still feels like he is testing the 3 of them. Curious how it goes and judging the PV, it looks like Asebi has been doing something behind the scenes potentially.

Metallic Rouge is okay, not a can't miss show... it just got too wrapped up in trying to be Blade Runner.
If we keeping it real. It was the worst example of an anime needing 24 or 36 episodes for the story it wanted to tell, but the production committee wanted to be cheap and just do 12 episodes. Tbh I would be interested in reading the Ln adaptation to see how much was planned by the person who wrote it.
