Man Konosuba with an insane episode. The comedy was on point as per usual, but the fact that the debt is caused by events in S1 and S2, and you think oh this is just a gag and the debt won't be relevant again. But actually it is the reason for this whole arc is insane to me. Consider this is primarily a comedy/parody series.

Watch Episode 1 of The Grimm Variations: Cinderella

This series seems to be a series of dark twist and variation of the mini stories they are based on. For episode this is based on the traditional Cinderella story. But the big twist here is the girl is fukking manipulative. At first nothing is out of the ordinary, but as slowly the episode continues you think to your self there is no way she did that. The first was after her father died. But there is no way she would kill her father right? Nope she did but screwing with his car.

She literally looked at her stepsisters and mother as toys for her enjoyment. She pretended to take care of the mother as the daughters take their distance from Kiyoko. But slowly she poisons her mother bit by bit until she dies by her hands. Clearly watching a very proud woman suffer at her hands was to her enjoyment. But the real kicker is the sister. Which is like the traditional Cinderella story, but how it uses for this variation is very interesting. Kiyoko unlike the original Cinderella is the daughter that inherits her father's fortune. However, the fact she chooses to serve them is what allows her to set it up in her plans. Ultimately her plan is to make manipulate and humiliate them. Ultimately the stepsisters brought this on themselves, but they fell into Kiyoko's trap. Humiliating them at the party and stealing the man they desire before he kicks him out.

The only thing lacking is that I wished we had more information on the Doll that was able to move her head. Would those women literally turn into dolls? Or did she mean literally just dolls to play with. Although the scene below gave me chills. Will continue watching the rest of the episodes

I started reading this series with the official translations from Kodansha, and it has a lot of potential. I've heard it gets even better. Considering that Bones is animating it, it should be easily a hit.

Finished watching Dungeon Meshi.

Got to say this is one of the most creative anime I have seen. I heard great things about the anime, but man the adaptation blew my expectations. Such a wonderful cast of characters, the world building is so fukking amazing with outstanding storytelling and the comedy is always on point. Even when the story turned darker it stayed true to itself.

Right up with Frieren & Apothecary Diaries as the best anime we got so far this year. A must-watch. Will read the manga before S2 starts since that got announced.
