The Witch & The Beast Episode adapted Chapter 3 and half of chapter 4. Much better pacing in this episode as it really built on Ashaf and Guideau's relationship, which is one of the core foundation of this series.

Sousou no Frieren Ep 19 So we finished adapting the last few pages of chapter 38, fully adapted Chs 39 + 40 and started adapting ch. 41. With more action we could see it adapting at a 2 1/2 chapter average for this arc compared to the standard 2 that we have gotten so far.

Minus some reused shots with Fern's group, it was a well animated episode. I wished when Ehre was fighting Fern we would have gotten that shot of Frieren like how it was in the manga. It's a minor complaint, but that panel along with her words shows that Frieren has been a great teacher for Fern and Fern is a mage is much wiser than her age would suggest.

Overall it was a strong episode. You know gotta say Frieren as someone in the past who as we have seen has been a great team person. But how she coordinated with Lawine and Kanne was super impressive. Using each of their strengths to get the Stille from going to as many other water spots as possible. Great stuff. And well looks like Denken's group will be off to battle Frieren's group. Also I love the comment Ehre makes that she is fighting an experience mage because from appearances you wouldn't expect that style out of her.

Denken's quote about the quality of a mage is irrelevant is spot on. There are other stuff that you need to have if you are determining the value of a mage. If you are only good with magic then cool you will do well in a party. But in an aspect where leadership and comunication skills are valued they those flaws will be exposed. The big point the title of a first class mage is supposed to carry a lot of weight. With that weight they need more then just pure magic skills.

Man the episode was feeling good and she had a place she can comfortably be around and the butcher and baker grew fond of her. Man she just wants to live in peace and start a new life and she can't even get that comfortably. :mjcry:

I watched both episodes this morning.t was decent enough to keep watching. I’m not gonna get too enthralled in it since the manga is either on hiatus or will prolly experience a lot of em

Visually it still leaves a lot to be desired. Not as bad as I thought it would be coming in given the studio, but its a far cry from the manga art which is gorgeous. Manga is right up there with Frieren and Apothcary Diaries and its the point in the anime industry that some great manga will get great adaptations and some will only get decent ones at best.

Still as long as the pacing stays on point. When we get to the Demon Sword arc, is when the series really finds its footing and the manga keeps getting better and better. Hopefully same applies to the anime even with the visuals like I mentioned before.

Man I seriously underestimated how big of a die hard fanbase Code Geass has. You can't get any merchandise for that show. I bought a couple limited edition blu-rays years back (I'd just discovered the show at the time) and resellers are trying to push them for $200-500. I might have paid $30 for them back in the day.

In other news, Frieren continues to impress me as the weeks go on. I don't even know why I like it so much...it's just therapeutic to turn it on every Friday or something. If someone asked me to explain the plot, I'd say 'Idk...going on a journey and doing stuff; magic shyt.' Yet it's one my top anime in recent years. I even bought the art book or it.

I need to get back into undead unlock....and I want to start that Vivy show.
