Most people just talk about it as one of the best new shounens. JJK S1 was basically the prologue to the series. The real meat comes in S2.That TLR thread inspired me to go back and finish catching up with Jujutsu Kaisen, stopped because I was thoroughly unimpressed with it and people have been gassing it up to be next level.
At least when I was unimpressed with AOT and demon slayer I couldn't outright pinpoint what I didn't like, I just knew it wasn't hitting for me. JJK felt like collectively forgot about YYH and crowned it's child.
But it did an A-1 job in S1. Fleshed out so many characters well. Making the cast fleshed out is a big plus. They really enhanced the fights. Some fights in S1 of the manga was confusing at times. The anime cleared it up and brought them up to another level.
Fight Choreography as people constantly mentioned before really make all the fights top tier. Demon Slayer obviously has better animation, but JJK fights are def better on a more consistent.
You will always have those people that put where the manga is at and put that expectation on the anime which is beyond stupid.
