Essential What Anime are you currently watching?
I’m watching Michiko and Hatch.
I know I’m hella late, but nobody I talk to in real life has heard of it, so personally I think it’s probably the most slept on Anime for the black community.
-The vibe is so amazing.
Set in a Latin world with a colorful backdrop.
-plenty black characters, that look like regular folk. No goofy looking minstrel show bs.
-the storylines are “ok” but the artwork and action always makes up for it.
- Michiko is clearly supposed to be modeled after the RnB singer Aaliyah
I like that her character isnt perfect, she beating people ass!
but still be acting like a bird. (The main plot of the show is her on a dumbass bird mission)
*Dont spoil me, I haven’t finished it yet, but goddamn she doing way too much for some dikk
Her character flaw makes sense because she’s raised in the streets, and was never giving a opportunity to be nothing better. bytch can’t barely read or write. But she got a pretty face and can throw hands, so in her eyes that’s all she needs.
-Hatch is annoying but a 8 year old in her situation is supposed to be. She kinda one note, but I guess more to her story will be revealed.
-Honestly I would be cool if it was just Michiko tottin, bopping, running the fade with every nikka that gets in her way. But I guess Hatch is there to drive the plot and challenge Michiko moral compass, so I’m with it.
I can’t wait to finish it.
I started this, got like 3 episodes in and then dropped it for whatever reason. I'll get back to it hopefully.

Finished Vinland Saga and the shyt was dope. Can’t wait for the next season.

Spriggan, seems pretty cool, I have only seen the 1. It was recently released on Netflix.

Yeah, I’ve seen and enjoyed these. Spriggan ending was kind of whatever.
You better off watching the OG version of b*stard. They don't go overboard with all the fan service shyt. Only thing the new series improved on was the violence and gore. Other than that the old one is better. Better music, better action, even the animation is on point.
The OG Spriggan is better too, but at least the new version is pretty good.
If you #ActionGang then watch Kengan Ashura, Demon Slayer, Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online, All of em are on Netflix.

Don't skip the post credit scene of Overlord S4 Ep 2.
Didn't expect those two to be working together, but it makes sense. Also funny considering how similar they are.
As much as I could complain about the lack of tension with Overlord since S1. It does a phenomenal job at world building. I'd say it is right up their with MT and Re:Zero for Isekais.

The ending of Spriggan was trash imo. Maybe the ig has a better ending.
Yeah I’ve watched these. I feel like the mainstream streaming joints used to have better anime options but they have kind of fallen off.
