The guy that did the concept for Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann ( Nakashima Kazuki) isn't involved. Nor is the director (Imaishi Hiroyuki) of those two shows.

This Ninja show is Trigger animating someone else's work.

InoBato never really accomplished to connect with me either, but the show has its audience. It's gotten a bit better now that they're focusing more on the harem aspect towards the end.

But the guy directing Ninja Slayer also did Inferno Cop, which still remains the best anime that Trigger has done so far (even better than Little Witch Academia). Plus he was assistant director on KlK which gives him more credit than the two directors involved in InoBato.

I'm gonna give that show a stretch. It's much better watching it in marathons.
