Naruto was fine showing depth to characters like they did on the first season. It's when they went extra subsequently showing the same shyt over and over that it became ridiculous.
The most developed and best character so far in Black Clover was Licht
Hell, even the Devil worshipper characters in those few episodes showed more depth than a lot of the major characters

The characters are loveable and they pretty much shown the proper amount of depth for specific ones for the time being.
Naruto literally have long arcs for every character not named Ten Ten and y’all hated them for that and shyt on the fillers.
