watched episode 1 of a new original anime "wonder egg priority". It's one of those esoteric shows that doesn't reveal anything from the start, relies entirely on abstract symbolism until that twist drops. belongs in the psychological, dementia genre.

felt kinda similar to how Ikuhara directed anime tend to go (Penguindrum, Utena etc). Deceptively innocent, light hearted until it gets dark. Animation was great for the most part.

I missed the boat on this but I'm bored so

Favorite Anime: FMAB. I think it's the best, most complete anime I've ever watched. Haikyuu is gonna be up there when it's all said and done. I also love Code Geass and LOTGH.

Anime that grew on me: Haikyuu. I was real hesitant to start. A high school, volleyball anime? But I started it and it was flames

Most underrated Anime: I'd say Gungrave. Probably because the last half, but the first half is amazing imo

Most popular series I've never seen: up until last year it was Evangelion. I wish it still was cause that show is garbage. So going off MAL, it'd be Your Lie in April. Probably won't ever watch it

Most popular series I haven’t seen: Huh... Tokyo Gouls? Code Geass? So many. I'm catching up on One Piece though (reading).

Favorite OP: 1st One Piece opening (Japanese version). shyt just makes me happy and want to sing. But there are a lot that contend for top spots. I have always said that you can know if an anime will be great or not just by watching the opening (there are exceptions).
