hehe yeah the OVA is meant to be watched first, but I think most people missed it. Crunchyroll really handled it poorly...

Thanks fam.
I just looked it up. There's actually 2 of em. One is from 2015 and another is from 2016. The one from 2016 looks like its directly tied to the new anime thats out now. Had some of the same characters and everything. Its called the Awakening. I think it explains what happens with the kids from school in ep 1. The older joint looks like some big as prequel. The animation on that doesn't look as good tho.

Can't believe I slept on Hajime no Ippo for so long.. Can already feel it end up as one of my favourites :wow:

Hajime No Ippo is prolly the goat sports anime. It's definitely in my top 5 ever. If you're a boxing fan or ever seriously trained, the anime hits even harder.

If you ARENT a boxing fan, it'll make you one.

you'lll be looking up youtube videos to see the styles and techniques the show/manga references.

the difference of that line between regular people and legit monsters

Hajime no Ippo is the RAREST of rares tha teaches you about somehting real life as it goes along... it'll have you scrutinizing every real world counterpart like you're a 70 year expert/

super facts.

shyt is mad inspirational too.
It's the one anime that I've never met anyone that has seen it in its entirety ever shyt on or even say its overrated. Like it checks off everything you could want and then some.

only manga I've ever seen match it in that aspect is Holyland.

Only reason I feel the new shyt "Weak Hero" doesn't match it is Holyland (like Ippo) shows what it takes to get to those levels. shyt tons of real life training and experience.

I'll forever feel like Holyland wont get animated because of the havoc it would cause.

society don't want a million Thug Hunters

RRR and Rikudo are solid. although I stopped following Rikudo when mangastream dropped em.
