• History Strongest Disciple Kenichi (if you count the Elder and his sword counterpart)

Depends on what you mean? Do you mean animes with overpowered protagonists or do you mean very stylish and well animated action?

If it's the latter then there's a hell of a lot of that now. I think anime studios recently realized that a good amount of the modern anime audience could give a fukk about overarching narrative and would rather just see eye candy.

What I seen seasonal anime work so much better cuz one piece anime was on fire for so long till it got too close and effected its pacing I had to drop that shyt and just watch highlights or certain episodes cuz of it
But man where the manga at shyt is bonkers

The anime is background noise for me, mostly to keep up with some stuff happening earlier in the arc since it is so close to the manga.
