Yeah, I gotta agree. Fate/Zero is an extreme outlier. You start watching the rest of what that franchise brings and it quickly becomes a mistake.

It’s because Fate/Zero isn’t based on a porn game or gotcha game. It’s an original work made to fill out the backstory of Fate/Stay Night. It was written by a high profile writer also. It’s an anomaly.

Crazy how Japan loves that Fate shyt, but it never really caught on out here. Fate Grand Order is the most played game in Japan for like 4 straight years.

I do remember hating shiro justice shyt toward end of unlimited blade works tho and aprocrypha starting slow then picked up with all the crazy fights

Yeah having 1 of your parents not be there for you messes with kids, my cousins are like that with their mom.

At least you're there for them and you and your wife could somewhat fill that void for them

I will say that the main reason that I place Fate Zero above UBW is just because Season 1 Shiro was a barely functional human outside of his "hero of justice" thing. Saber asked him why he wants to be a hero so badly and he went to his room and damn near had a panic attack. The writers completely revamped a lot of the characters from S1 to S2 making S2 overall better. If anything, the lore of the fate universe is explained the best in UBW so when I started Fate/Zero, everything clicked right away allowing me to enjoy fate/zero more. I still find it funny that as Shiro finally broke free of being a 1-note character they dedicated several episodes to Archer shytting on him

If the Fate Heavens Feel 3rd movie continues on the same trajectory as the first 2, it could be goated.
