Watching one piece. Just finished ep 193. It’s ok so far but idk how there are people considering this one of the GOATs.

Imma be real with you, something you won't get very often when folks start talking One Piece:

It's really not as good as the hype.

It's popular, has a fanatical arrogant following, and as a result has longevity and sales. All of which are impressive, undeniably but quality? It's as subjective as ANYTHING else you ever watch or read.

Like any good series, it has some crazy highs though, so can't knock it.

So I checked out Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun on a humble since Netflix recently added it. This is some of the funniest shyt I've seen in awhile anime-wise, especially being a "fake" shoujo series (technically it's shounen).

Guess it didn't do too well, sales-wise, though, since they never produced any sequel seasons in the 6 years since airing. I can't even front, I'd love for the rest to get adapted.

Checked out the new GITS: SAC. It was actually pretty dope despite being hideously rendered.

Just started Baki. I was NOT expecting this level of ultraviolence. That's part of the reason I fell in love with anime as a kid. I'm in this bytch for the long haul

And Inuyasha is her best work that is suited for a continuation. Covers the most unique genres (supernatural, historical, romance, comedy, shounen, drama) and it still has an existing fanbase from the toonami days that'll rush to watch it, buy the merchandise out of nostalgia. Should be a hit.

It's what the people want, that's for sure. They did a poll on all of her work on NHK late last year and Inuyasha took the top spot. Both in series and character Inuyasha won. Ranma 1/2 came in second and it's what I would prefer to see.

Still glad to see this get some new life.
