thanks for the insight breh.
any recommendations on how to find piff you’re into.. Websites and stuff like that. I get frustrated looking though titles I know nothing about. who are the denzel’s and Scorsese’s where you give them the benefit of the doubt just cuz of their body of work.
More often than not, my method of choosing comes from the animation studio behind the work. It's been a loooong time since I kept up with names. I came up on anime when names like Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Mamoru Oshii, Shji Kawamori, Shinichiro Watanabe were some of the big dawgs. I don't know a lot of the new blood. With this being the spring season, I just been checking Funimation to see what new titles they put up and judge from there.
Also, check
Anime News Network
I been going there for nearly 20 years for news within the industry. They're doing a spotlight on all the new series now.
As far as the steaming services, I get most of my anime fix from FUNiNow, Hulu and (sometimes) Netflix. There's Crunchyroll too, but since I ain't paying for that shyt and I have to cast it from my phone to my TV I rarely bother with it. I haven't had a good pirate site since Masterani got shut down.
My current go to studios
Production I.G
Sunrise
Bones
Gainax
Trigger
There's a lot more but I can't think of em right now.
