Watching this No Guns Life anime and at first I thought it would be ridiculous but I actually like this shyt. Have no idea what's going on or how this cat has a gun for a head but I can't look away.

just found this old interview on why Togashi ended YYH so abruptly. knew about him being burned out and the physical problems. didn't know his ideas got shot down by editors for being too strange and he felt limited in what he could do under SJ publication. He had plans for YYH that never came into fruition and that contributed to him losing motivation.

He's obviously insecure about his artwork and doesn't seem to want to rely on others to help him, so he definitely just wrote himself into a corner in the upcoming dark continent arc. He really should just try to write the story of HxH out in novel form and save himself the headaches. his chapters are 1000 word essays anyway.

It's obvious from what I've seen of yu yu hakusho that the editors must be putting their 2 cents in 24/7
All the "deaths" seem real and are given emotional impact and complete closure until they are randomly undone to make everything happily ever after. A lot of yusuke's development was accepting his feelings, so when kuwabara and genkai turn out to be ok, it seems like they made an ordeal out of nothing. Even the humans Genkai disposed of got up like nothing happened later and their part of the story was done. I know that wasn't togashi's intention but they are too scared that the show might be too dark.

Now with HxH it appears like togashi has all the power since he does whatever he feels like

Yea man Dark Continent got way too fukkin wordy and turned into Clue the board game on a ship. Just walls of text and hardly any action. I had to tap...did they ever make it to the Dark Continent?

Nope. About to spend seven years on a boat like Guts.

this is supposed to be a primer for the DC arc...but who really thinks Togashi will keep up this quality. It's almost like he's intentionally trolling people

Yea I remember them talking about it and this pic from the manga but that ship shyt was too painful with all the 9 princes and their bodyguards....7 years fukk no. Togashi can't stay healthy for 2-3 months to finish shyt.

A Villa Straylight.
That’s weird I’ve been watching this for the past week on a whim. Didn’t know this show was that long.
It's very long and it has another series The Final Chapter after this It's actually good in the middle, even the fillers where random demons are popping up because of what Naraku did at mount Hakrai is good. Naraku is also a very hateable villain.
