This jojo episode had me depressed

polnareff is disabled and now breh is murdered having flashbacks about the part 3 crew.

And buccarrti dead talking causally while he can't see nor hear. He over here believing he's talking to Trish then he's left alone and he's staring at nothing while rubbing the floor and the idea of this situation is fukked up but it doesn't even cross his mind because be doesn't even know any better. Dude skin is melting dude on the ground tryna find something like he smoked some fire weed and he can't remember where he put his keys.

I just thought about how polnareff was that funny dude in part 3, who araki used a lot as a trope to progress the story. He became apart of your life and you were used to seeing him get in some fukked up goofy scenario where he would eventually succeed and now breh strapped to a wheel chair with grey hair

Then the transition from buccarrti from like episode 1 with his debut to finding out what his dream was to seeing him get the gang this far by being a great leader now he's been degraded to him being what he is this episode

Sad shyt

This week's Attack on Titan episode was a huge tease as expected :pachaha:

Though I honestly thought they were going to end it with Eren not being able to open the basement :lolbron:

Next 2 weeks are gonna be so interesting reading and hearing people's thoughts on the reveals they are about to get.

Not a spoiler, but still
It took me a while to settle into what the story was really about. The show/manga definetely changes and becomes something else (though still great) after we get all the info and story from Grisha

@Consumed Finished s1 of 3-gatsu no Lion like you recommended, was interested to hear your thoughts? I went back in forth on it, I thought it had a lot of good stuff, but in saying that there was alot other stuff I wish they explored more, a bit unrealistic factor too it, and wasnt sure if the gripes I had will be explained further in s2 ( didnt even realize this was 44 episode anime until a week into watching)

Araki really knows how to make sure an injured returning character has a sad backstory, has little screen time only showing a glimpse of a badass moment and then kill them off soon after the short badass moment. Polnareff timing Diavolo with his blood was genius.

Sangatsu is a love letter to people who have struggled with mental health and believe they have no value. Rei is a very convincing character in that role - his entire family was killed in an accident, abused in his foster home, bullied in school, failing to meet the high expectations set for him. Much of the first season is dedicated to breaking his self destructive tendencies, building confidence and learning to trust the people who love him. It's like what Kamina says to Simon in Gurren Lagann - "believe in me that believes in you". He has to do that until he's secure in himself

It does this not only through dialogue, but visually. The way that the director uses transitions and cuts to make an ordinarily static scene pop out of the screen is entirely unique to him. It becomes fun to watch a character give a monologue when the perspective is constantly changing in dramatic ways to emphasize emotion. You'll also notice that when Rei is alone in his room the color palette is dark. Sometimes he's even shown drowning in water. When he's around the Kawamoto sisters it's bright and fluffy. It becomes impossible for him to be miserable when around positive people who all like him, and it's the same for people who are down on themselves.

I think it can lag if you just don't sympathize much with Rei/the sisters or the sport of Shogi - this was a slight issue for me and I'm guessing this is part of your issue as well. By the second season Rei has realized his value and there's more focus on developing the issues of the side characters. I think it's realistic to experiences in modern Japan. Maybe not the U.S.

Damn it's Armageddon in Daigo's turf, there are incoming troops on verge of invading, his first son Hykkiamaru in his semi-demon form riding a demon horse raising hell and now his 2nd son and his friends selling their souls and utilizing Hykkiamaru's body parts.
