From what I read and know anime is canon
And movie compilations is it's own canon

The 3rd movie is in theaters now (and changes things as well). Lelouch of the Re;surrection is gonna the follow the movie/recap canon while the original series and R2 remain their own canon. Now all that's left of for Sunrise to confirm the series format (TV, OVA, or theatrical).

Speaking of new Sunrise they announced a new series, Double Decker: Doug & Kirill, related to Tiger and Bunny recently...

The action choreography for the series is criminally underrated. Suzaku be floating out there in Lancelot looking like Mugen at times. Kallen in the MK. 2 with the Jitte I always liked Lancelot launching pose

Doubt any of those will be too prevalent. Kawaii/Moe is partially what made me drop the otaku banner a decade ago. That and how unnatural digital coloring made everything look throughout the aughts. Man, it's a combination of things really...

Indeed I watched Tenchi as a youngster on Toonami, I had no idea at the time what was Moe, Kawaii or fan service but I enjoyed it. These studios need to balance that shyt out rather than oversaturating the market with that cutesy colorful shyt.
