Essential What Anime are you currently watching?
Bleach is trash. That's why the anime got canceled and the manga was forced to end. Its popularity tanked and most of the post-Aizen stuff was really bad. They'll never revisit that anime cause the manga finished in the toilet of shonen jump. They let him end it as a courtesy but even as long as they gave Tite Kibo the actual final battle is rushed and there are many loose ends that the series never adresses.Finally finished rewatching all the canon episodes of Bleach and it still holds up, even the Fullbring arc was dope. Since I’ve lost hope hope in them making anymore Bleach anime, I decided to read the last manga arc although I’m very surprised to the find that they don’t fukk around in the manga, shyte is insanely graphic compared to the anime.
Example Ichigo's full powers and Aizen's bankai and never shown in the entire series. Ichigo gets a late series upgrade (this is shonen all protagonist get that) and the series teases you about it but he never comes close to showing what he can do after he gets it.
Damn...I didn't realize that Bleach was widely reviled after the Fullbring arc, I was under the impression that the manga did moderately well but just never got back to being as popular as it once back in the 2000s. It's saddening to hear they rushed the final arc as I just started it (am rushing through it myself so I can continue with Kingdom) but I ain't gonna lie it's been rollercoaster just from the first 30 chapters I've covered, pity it'll run out of steam eventually.
Bleach makes Naruto's ending seem like a masterpiece in comparison. I'd say Naruto has a disappointing but acceptable ending. Bleach's final arc and ending are a train wreck. There's a lot of hyped up stuff like the Zero Squad and Ichigo that never really paid off in my book. A lot of fights with antagonists with broken powers. The main antagonist is ridiculously broken in terms of power.
I think Bleach problem was that Tite Kubo needed a co-writer to keep him in check. He made interesting characters and concepts but he had no idea where to go with them. Also the pacing was pretty terrible. Much of the series was spent on irrelevant fights between crap characters you didn't really care about mainly because there were too many characters. There's often be long stretches where cast members disappeared. How many Hitsugaya fights did we have to endure while we barely got any Kyoraku fights?

Don’t know an all powerful villain with more depth than Meruem. Younger Toguro, King Bradley, Shishio were great too
My problem with Aizen is that he had no major flaws to balance out his perfection and was only ever defeated by a gimmick power up that we never saw again. I think of him more as a broken troll who’s more funny than intimidating, like Dio.

Aizen trolling in the chair was so damn ridiculous it was hilarious.
Damn shame what happened to Bleach but we all saw it coming. Kubo just didnt care after a while and the art definitely showed. I held out hope for Aizen but even he couldn't save that trainwreck. If I remember correctly it was just a time skip and showed Ichigo's son or some shyt. It didnt even make sense.
