Started and stopped watching Chobits after one episode. Very creepy premise even for anime rom com standards. Probably inspired by Video Girl Ai, but in that anime the female lead was given a strong personality and the guy wasn't a useless pervert.

The OP is great though. If the entire anime was just that OP looped for 24 minutes I might like it better

shyt has some great music. Some of my favorite music, actually.

edit: I would post some tracks, but I just tried to look at the albums on my phone.... my SD card just died. :mjcry:

Is there any good detective, noir or murder mystery animes?

I'm still dipping my toes into anime and so far I'm :ld:

You mean just standard stuff without the "weirdness"?

You'd prolly do good with Monster.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi

Higurashi (maybe).

I hear Detective Conan is great when it comes to being clever and detectivey. I just never bothered with it.

It is a mystery

Monster. I wont give too lenghty of a description but let me just say its on another level :wow:

The first few episodes (i think the first 2) feature some elements like a romance which will get tossed in the bushes and is only planting a seed for something way later so I wouldn't get thrown off by it. Without spoiling anything, this show is one of the GOATs with great characters, twists and turns, and a great thriller plot

So far I've only watched and finished
Attack on titan s1 - loved it
Blue exorcist - enjoyed it but went on too long
Knights of sidonia - hated the look and story didn't interest me
Death Note - really enjoyed it but it went on too long and took a nose dive in quality near the end
Sword art online - enjoyed the first like 6 or 7 episodes then it went straight off a cliff in quality
B:The beginning - I liked the detective part of it,would have enjoyed it if it was just about the Keith character but the other part of the show i thought was dumb and poorly told
Devilman crybaby - I honestly was kind of zoning out during parts,I feel like maybe I should watch it again and pay better attention because the story just seemed nonsensical and the violence cheap but might be my fault for not paying enough attention

Im just kind of randomly picking shows on netflix but the detective idea in B caught my attention and made me want to watch something more straight up.

I'll check those out

I never even tried Chobits cause the premise seemed to weird

Monster is a difficult watch. It's a good show but it doesn't really care about being entertaining all the time. You'll often see people mention Death Note and Monster together. Death Note always wants to entertain you. Monster is all about telling you a story and it lays that story out a brick at a time.

That's not to say Monster isn't good because it is but there are a lot of Shonen fans here and Monster is pretty far from Shonen.

 if you liked Season 1 of Attack on Titan, you'll love season 2.

Death Note should've ended halfway through. I started to mention it, but I was like :patrice:

B: The Beginning would've been top notch if they left out the superpowered crap. I kinda feel like it was just there to lure junkies of that kind of stuff and wasn't really developed to be anything but looked at.

Devilman Crybaby.... I tried two eps. Hated it. It was obviously made for those folks who like to see spazzy naked women and gratuitous violence. I could only describe it as "droll"

Alot of shows have situations with 2 girls but it's usually the popular ones that hit the news bout it was I referring too

detective conan is basically sherlock for kids in anime format, but not gonna lie a lot of those cases are clever and i had a lotta fun watching it as a kid. the one huge downside with conan tho is that its hundreds of episodes deep with no end in sight so maybe you can check out a few episodes from time to time but as an adult with priorities (im assuming) youre probably gonna wanna invest in something else.

Finally got around to watching Darling in the FranXX. Hard to take the drama seriously with all the shameless fanservice. I get why it's there, but some exposition to reinforce the worldbuilding that I'm struggling to buy into b/c literally nothing makes sense and nothing is explained by episode 17 would do the story more favors than a random beach episode. The mecha fights are a disappointment compared to the predecessors it draws inspiration from in NGE, Lagann and Eureka 7.

I did like the interspecies love story between Zero Two and Hiro. That pairing is enough to keep me interested until the end where I'm guessing one will die.

I figured out the Cowboy Bebop Real Folk Blues sample obviously but brehs start of the song...do you think that's a sample of Death Note, the music where Light is running & eventually dies :ohhh:

Finally finished rewatching all the canon episodes of Bleach and it still holds up, even the Fullbring arc was dope. Since I’ve lost hope hope in them making anymore Bleach anime, I decided to read the last manga arc although I’m very surprised to the find that they don’t fukk around in the manga, shyte is insanely graphic compared to the anime.:picard:

Just too many damn fillers and if u gonna do fillers have it connect to the arc and not be some random shyt and then have a canon ep 15 mins in then go filler again that is what pissed me off bout the anime

As far as manga go hate to tell u it might of been the worse fall off in history cuz of how they dragged it out and some other shyt I wont spoil but a lot of people were beyond disappointed with it
It has so much potential but poorly executed imo and the writer changed shyt up compared to what he said what was gonna happen cuz it never happened when he had the interview before the last arc giving insight
U might enjoy it tho this is just my opinion tho and from what I read online here and other places bout it.

I'm still contemplating on getting the blu ray disc tho just dont wanna deal with the filler tho
